I play bass guitar and there is never a need for a capo because on a bass you are just playing notes. If the guitarist is playing with a capo on the 2nd fret, then I just move my fingers up two frets and play the notes in the same pattern as if the guitarist was in the key without the capo. Make sense? Well, it's hard to describe if you aren't familiar with bass. Now, these capos my husband acquired as soon as I opened the package. One is silver toned and the other is black. They fit securely on the fret board and snugly hold the strings with the proper tension so that the chords ring true to the melody. There is gripping silicone that holds the capo on the back of the neck and a strong tension spring to tighten the placement. On the bottom of the capo there is a notch to remove the bridge pins holding the strings for easy changing.
