Now, my husband is old fashioned and loves to use a lot of salt and pepper on his macaroni salad. His favorite shakers are the ones with large holes so that he doesn't have to shake hard to get the seasoning out. Me, I like grinders. It's so classy to grind the salt and peppercorns. I think you also get a fresher taste that accents your meal. These are glass bottom with a stainless grinder and cap. The grinder turns smoothly and doesn't seem to bind. They are both the same so it doesn't matter which one for each seasoning. The holder is black plastic bottom with a stainless handle attached by two screws. They would be a nice gift for the modern man.
