Since I got a cell phone, I've wanted to have a mount in my car so that it doesn't fly all over the place when I turn a corner or stop quickly. And I do. And it does. This is a universal car mount that plugs into the cigarette lighter receptacle. It extends upward to support the phone within sight and reach. The lighter is still able to be used with this adapter. There is an on/off switch so that it isn't powered when you aren't in the car. There are two USB ports and a USB cable for charging your phone while the unit is on. It fit my iPhone 5s and had enough extension to fit larger phones, up to 168mm. Now, my car is a 2005 BMW X5 and the cigarette lighter adapter was so snug that I almost pulled out my lighter receptacle. I was able to hold it in and twist out the adapter safely. I like the goose neck arm so that the phone is placed where I need it and not in a fixed location. This unit keeps my phone in place so that I don't have to worry about it falling.
