Did you ever try cutting with ceramic? I hadn't either until I received this set of ceramic knives. There are four sizes in four different colors. The brightly colored handles are coated with silicone for a firm grip. I used the smallest paring knife to core and cut an apple. As I was cutting the apple, My finger just touched the blade and instantly there was blood! These are very sharp. The apple was a little green so it cut a little hard but the skin was severed easily. My husband later used the red handled largest knife to cut his sub sandwich into sections and the sub roll never squashed. It cut just perfectly. The clean up very easily and will never rust like regular metal knives.
