I usually take him to the vet to have his nails done and while I am there, they make me leave the room because Jack will think that I'm not his friend anymore. And that is true...now. He was not impressed with me trimming his nails. The clippers by Dele worked great. The best feature that I like, because it's a safety factor, is the little plate under the cutters that prevent the nails being cut too short and hurting his nail beds. I was able to do one paw and I'll have to wait to get the right foot later. The handles have a rubberized grip on the outside so that you keep a firm grip. Hidden in the one handle is a small nail file that removes easily to smooth the nails after clipping. They also lock in a closed position for storing.
