I have lived with dull knives for a long time. My husband kept asking me, "When are you going to buy a sharp knife?" I like my knives and didn't want to get new ones. I tried out this Diamond Stone knife sharpener on our serrated-edged filet knife. I use this one a lot and needed to put a new edge on it. If my husband used the sharpener, the blade would be a long thinner. So I did it myself, and the stone was easy to use. I didn't have to apply a lot of pressure to bring the edge back and the knife is sharper. Funny how I get used to something one way but when it is improved, I wonder how in the world I used it before when it was bad.
