I am so glad that there is all of this 'new' discovery of ancient ways to heal and comfort our bodies. I had never heard of Teething Necklaces until this year. From what I've been told and seen, the amber beads give off a soothing mineral onto the skin as the beads are warmed by body heat. This seems to soothe a teething baby crying from the pain in the gums. One mom even told me that it helped with her baby's drooling. This necklace is made of 100% Baltic Amber. I love the deep rusty color of the stones. The stones are strung on a cotton type string and each stone is knotted so that the string will not fall apart or come unstrung. The beads are tightly strung so that they will not work themselves loose and endanger the baby.
