Ok, I have two dogs and two cats all with different quality of hair. The first one is Jack, a Lab mix. His hair is short, coarse and fine. It just falls like rain. I move his crate and it looks like another dog lives there. Then, there is Chester, whom I inherited when my mom was placed in a home, a Shih Tzu mixed with Chow. He doesn't shed but his hair has a tendency to fluff and get knotted especially when it's time for his spa cut. Now, Buxton, my orange cat has fine silky hair. The kind that when you want to go out in your black slacks, it's time for him to rub your leg and you end up taking part of him with you. And then there is Jaspar, my calico mixed female. She just sheds...all.the.time.
So I used this brush on all of them. They all loved it. It wasn't harsh on their skin and the teeth are so fine that it didn't seem to pull on their fur. Even the finest hair, was caught up in the brush and easily removed. The handle is ergonomic for easy application
