The state of emergency still exists. Water levels are lowering but still over flood stage. Lots of roads are closed.

I went to the office supply store and stopped in at church. Water is still coming up out of the manhole covers. Water, water everywhere.

The following pictures are some that I snapped on the way into the city. I noticed the hilltops look a little brown, as if the leaves were stripped off the trees. Very strange looking.



It's amazing how we're all just like little ants. The sun comes out and we're back to work, pushing and shoving dirt and food around. The human spirit is amazingly resilient. The Christian spirit may get knocked down and around but we're never defeated as long as we keep our eyes vertical and not horizontal. With Christ as our focus, He straightens everything out. All things work for good for those that are in Christ Jesus. Yes, even the bleakest turns around for an excellent purpose.
