Did you ever have to strain a pot of water and you didn't have the right size colander? Many times I have misjudged how many noodles in my pot and poured it into a strainer only to find out that I have too much for the strainer to handle. Then, I have to put down the pot, empty the strainer and start over again.
This is a collapsible strainer that you can adjust to hold your pot of noodles or whatever else you need to strain. The silicone sides fold into itself to give you a full or medium bowl.
Another great aspect of this product is that it totally folds or collapses flat so that storage is convenient and not a problem. One thing that bothered me is the stainless rim edge isn't sharp but isn't rolled, either. It's an area that I am careful to handle.
The silicone can withstand high temperatures, too, which is so important when pouring boiling water and contents into the bowl.
