Vegan Box Set 2 in 1: 150+ Ice Cream Vegan and Chocolate Vegan Recipes by Sam Kuma

This boxed set includes not only my favorite Chocolate Vegan Recipes but adds in Ice Cream Vegan Recipes. It's a combo made in heaven for Vegans!

I'm not truly a vegan because I don't have anything against meat lovers, but I only like to eat food that doesn't have a face or a mother. So, no dairy, cheese, eggs or honey for me. I love it when authors provide the public with fantastic easy recipes for me!

The chocolate recipes will satisfy any chocoholic and the ice cream recipes are just bonuses to use along with the chocolate. Dairy-free ice cream made with frozen bananas is great and just add a chocolate sauce to boot will make desserts yummy and easy.

If you love sorbets or sherbets, then the ice cream recipes will be perfect for you. Made with fresh fruit and ice they are so healthy but still delicious without all of the fat in normal frozen desserts and made with natural sugars instead of refined white products.

The chocolate recipes include breakfasts, desserts, bagels, French toast and much more.  The options are endless.

This is a great set for the bored vegetarian or vegan and the regular meat-eater will enjoy the desserts along with you. Lose weight by eating healthy and you will enjoy life longer.

AROUND THE WORLD VEGAN CUISINE!

I love going to new restaurants to try out different flavors, atmosphere, and fellowship. Usually, it's Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, or Asian. Thanks to Sam Kuma I can now make tantalizing vegan dishes at home and know exactly what ingredients are healthy for my lifestyle.

I love Italian foods but I have given up cheese. One my favorite dishes is Fettuccini Alfredo and it's just not the same without the cheese. But, Sam has a recipe for Alfredo sauce that contains no dairy and I can't wait to try it. To go along with the Fettuccini is Tiramisu with strawberries. I can see a special dinner coming up soon!

My favorite go-to snacks are guacamole and salsa. I have to try out the Black Bean Guacamole and the Mango Salsa with Peaches along with the recipe for Burritos or Enchiladas. I'm in heaven!

Now for the Asian recipes. Spring Rolls. Need I say more? I have had them lots of ways but they are the best summer snack or lunch. I'm going to make it into a Spring Roll Bowl with lettuce and I'll be set for the day. Although, topping it off with Griddled Pineapple and caramel sauce is very tempting.

Finally, we're onto the Hummus and Baba Ganoush recipes in the Mediterranean book. Absolutely my favorites because of the ease of preparation. Italian Wedding Soup or Onion Soup will be fantastic for the cold winter days that are upon us now.

All of the recipes are easy to follow and don't require specialty ingredients. No matter what diet you are on, it's just healthy food for your body. This collection is a perfect addition to my kitchen.

Asian Vegan Recipes for a Dairy Free Raw Vegan Lifestyle

Sam Kuma does it again! Here's a concise collection of recipes to tingle your taste buds with delicious foods that you will love. I just love Asian foods but don't like the oils or added unhealthy ingredients for my body that you get in restaurants or processed packaged foods in the grocery store.

Sometimes I get so bored with my normal vegan diet and I yearn for something spicy, different, and cost effective. Here are just some of the examples in this book:  Vegetable Rolls, Wonton Soup, Chinese Hot Pot, & Grilled Pineapple with Spiced Caramel (my personal favorite).

The best part is that all of these can be made at home simply and quickly. The ingredients you may already have stocked in your pantry or are available in grocery stores in the international food sections.

Vegan Diet for Beginners: 76 Recipes and 8 Weeks of Diet Plans

"Where's the meat?" is what I asked the doctor when she showed me her food pyramid. I was amazed that it was optional to not eat meat at every meal.

When you're gall bladder refuses to work, your cholesterol is sky high, and your blood pressure fluctuates you need to start to get healthier by changing your diet.

I started off so fast because I love veggies, fruit, beans, and anything that doesn't have a face or a mother. But, if you're a beginner and just want to test the waters (food), start off by eliminating meats, fish, and dairy at one or two meals a day and see how you feel.

I felt fantastic and I've been eating this way for five years. My numbers have maintained at or below recommended levels and my weight dropped from 135 to 113 in about six months.

Along with the healthy eating, you need to exercise. When I forget or rebel against working out, my body suffers and the weight starts to climb back on. So, as you eliminate those unhealthy foods, continue to exercise.

Here is a book to help you start. Remember that foods taste better with seasonings, especially if you don't like them.

There are recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. If you don't like spinach, substitute a different green vegetable. Remember, it's about you and healthy living. Don't give up too soon!

Delight your taste buds and your tummy when you try one of the smoothie recipes. Yes, a smoothie can even be a meal!

Make it fun and it becomes more interesting. Don't let others come down on you for your omission of meats. You're in it for your health and when they see the benefits that you receive, they'll be asking you for advice.

That's why you need this Vegan Diet for Beginners. It will help you through the early stages of wondering what to eat. Don't just settle for plain raw veggies. Go for an inspired salsa salad. It will satisfy your hunger better than any fast food meat sandwich.

VEGAN PROTEIN COOKBOOK, YES!

Gluten Free? Dairy Free? Vegan? Protein? All in one cookbook? Yes! This latest cookbook by Sam Kuma is right up my alley. I only eat plant-based foods, nothing that has or had, a face or a mother.  I can't eat dairy because of the lactose. Gluten, I'm ok with but if I can avoid it, I will.

Sam says that we can get enough protein from whole foods and don't need to have meat in our diet or take protein supplements.  You never know what's in them.  It's safer to grab a banana, some non-dairy milk, rice protein, pea protein, and almonds for a lovely protein shake to start the day.  Yum.

I've been eating this way for about five years and have never been healthier.

Try it, you'll like it.

I received this product free for my honest opinion.

GIVE ME CHOCOLATE!

You can't be vegan and eat chocolate! That's what people tell me. So, I have to tell them about the recipes that are in this book. None of the ingredients are of the animal variety. There aren't even eggs. The milk is all nut based and delicious. I've been eating this way for four years but sometimes my diet becomes stale and I need inspiration. That's what this ebook has been for me, an inspiration. I love desserts and when they are healthy, that's the best kind of dessert.  I've tried the Chocolate Chia Smoothie Pudding, Three Ingredient Brownies, and the Chocolate Lava Cake.  As soon as my kitchen is back in business, I will try the Chocolate Oreo Cheesecake to take to a picnic this weekend.  Because I do eat only plants, my cupboards are already stocked with most of the ingredients needed for these recipes. But, they are readily available at most big box grocery stores.  I do hope you try some of these desserts.  Yummy.

I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

HUMMUS A TUNE!

Most of my friends and family know that I don't eat meat anymore. It's been, like, four years. You would think they would understand that I will still live if I don't have meat at a picnic! They always want to see if I eat anything that would be 'normal' instead of things they have never heard of.  Here is an ebook that gives me an assortment of meals from the Mediterranean. Of course, I chose the hummus recipe to try first. It was very easy to make and the directions were perfect. If I'm out of an item that they suggest, I just switch it with what I have on hand. You can make great meals without complicated gourmet ingredients and this book gives you that opportunity to impress people with good healthy foods.

Happy Herbivore Abroad

Lindsay's newest endeavor will be available soon!
Leave a comment to win a free copy!
In March of 2012 I was diagnosed with an under-active gall bladder. To avoid surgery, my primary doctor asked me to try a plant-based lifestyle for 6 weeks. I didn't have anything to lose except surgery, so I gave it a shot. My gall bladder calmed down, I lost 13 lbs. and dropped my total cholesterol from 229 to 148! I don't miss dairy, meat or oil in my new plant-based lifestyle. I have more energy and my skin and hair are much better than when I ate anything and everything. It's feels like I'm on holiday and get to eat treats for breakfast, lunch & dinner!

I have also learned that a plant-based lifestyle is much more economical than eating meats and dairy.

Lindsay's website  was first in the search for recipes and I have been avidly perusing her recipes for the delicious food that I love. Her daily emails are inspiring and encouraging. I had a recent opportunity to ask her a few questions and here are her responses:

1. How do you come up with your recipes?

With my first book, The Happy Herbivore Cookbook, I set out to recreate dishes ("comfort foods") that I used to eat -- but in a new healthy and plant-based way. With my second book, Everyday Happy Herbivore, I went back to basics. I looked at whatever ingredients I had on hand, then created a meal (or meals) out of it. With my new book, Happy Herbivore Abroad, I recreated meals I ate or saw on my travels... I made international cuisine healthy and plant-based -- and with everyday ingredients.

2. Do you research the products used in creating a dish, i.e. best brands/products to use?

No - I use whatever I have on hand or what is available to me. I'm only brand specific on two products: nutritional yeast and almond milk, but even then I've used other brands if that's all that was available. I love to buy generic.

3. What is the best way to figure out meal plans ahead of time?

We have great meal plans at getmealplans.com -- for individuals and families. If you want to write your own, sit down and figure out what meals you want to make for the week, write up your shopping list and go from there.
(I'm starting on the meal plans soon! Takes the guess work out of planning.)
4. Does your book include recipes for lunches to take to work?

All of the lunches on the meal plans are designed to travel to work. With my new book, Abroad, there are several meals that you could take to lunch, but I didn't specifically develop recipes for lunch. That's more for a meal plan recipe than a cookbook one.

5. Why is your book different than other plant-based cookbooks?

My cookbooks (all of them) focus on being low fat, no oil -- using whole foods, and basic ingredients, which makes them stand out from the vast majority of other vegan cookbooks on the market.

6. Have the menus of restaurants of other cultures given you more creative ideas?

Absolutely. I recreated a lot of dishes I ate abroad in Happy Herbivore Abroad.

7. I thoroughly enjoy your escapades to restaurants and it makes me want to tag along! Do you
share your experiences in the book for the reader?

Yes. There are so many personal stories in Happy Herbivore Abroad -- you'll definitely get a sense you're traveling with me.

8. What is your favorite newest recipe?

Asking a chef to pick their favorite recipe is like asking a parent to pick their favorite child :)

Lindsay is giving away a copy of this cookbook! Just leave a comment on this blog and we'll choose one person to receive a copy at the end of December.  The winner will need to forward their mailing address to us.  U.S. & Canada only.
