One of my favorite scents is peppermint. I love peppermint breath mints, peppermint patties added to brownie mixes, peppermint candy canes, and peppermint candles. Now, I can have the scent of peppermint year round because it is an essential oil. It can be used in humidifier diffusers, necklace or bracelet diffusers. Peppermint oil is great for people suffering from sinusitis, allergies, headaches, indigestion, or nausea. It helps to keep you alert so you don't want it in a humidifier for sleeping but would be ideal in an office setting. Peppermint is also cooling on your tongue and nasal passages. If you have a cold, it can help to soothe your nose.
As with all essential oils, they need to be diluted with a carrier oil like almond or coconut, if you put them on your skin. They are very strong and can cause adverse reactions on your skin. That's why I like the necklaces for the fragrance of peppermint. This company supplies an eyedropper for easy application of the oil.
