READY, SET, BAKE!

All right, it's just another bragging blog post about silicone products, but they're good! At least, good for baking.

This is a complete set...pan, silicone baking mat, and silicone pot holder. I love the color. It's close to a mint green that makes you feel like cooking. You'll think that you're a pro with this set!

The silicone baking mat helps to prevent your cookings from sticking to the metal pan and easily washes clean even in the dishwasher. It works great! The silicone pot holder is perfect to fit your hand and get a good grip on that hot pan. It has ridges on the inside of the mitt so that your hand doesn't slip off the pan.

This would make a great gift for the new homemaker, shower gift, or upgrade your own kitchen wares.

I received this promotional item at a discount, and a favorable review was not assured.

FEATHERING YOUR NEST? TRY THESE!

When you start to 'feather your nest' with products and supplies to begin homemaking, whether it be a first-time homeowner or your first apartment, it's usually the time when you place your own style imprint on home design.

When I first got married we had one bridal shower and people gave you gifts of what they thought you needed. It was a time way before the internet. You actually went to the store and bought what they had.

There were no TV ads telling you what was the latest and greatest to have in your home. You had to depend on magazine ads and even then, there were only Good Housekeeping and Woman's Day to give you an idea of products for your home. They were never in the local stores, the items were out of our budget, and we didn't travel to shop.

So with the influx of the internet and the plethora of household products these days, it's easy to develop your style with what you like. Products are much more affordable, too, like this 7 Piece Set of Silicone and Stainless Steel Kitchen Utensils.

They are constructed well and attractively generic for the modern kitchen. Most appliances come in the stainless steel and these would work well with any color scheme.  The silicone heads are great for cooking and mixing. They won't scratch your bowls or make any noises while you are stirring in your pots or stainless bowls.

They are BPA free and latex free.

For the price of $19.95, you get seven pieces which make each one cost about $2.85 so that are cost-effective. These would be a perfect upgrade for your own kitchen or a gift for a bridal shower.

IN TO LUNCH!

I have a great job. Only 24 hours a week, packed with wonderful creative projects, that I hardly have time to eat. A lunch hour is out of the question, so it's a 'pack and go' lunch for me.  I like foods that are low maintenance and that I can eat right out of a container.

I received this great collapsible silicone storage container that is perfect for most of my lunches plus easy to clean and store.

It's great for salads, spaghetti, or anything that I eat on my plant-based diet. I used greens and blueberries for my salad today. The bowl held a very healthy sized salad but I waited to add the dressing so that it wasn't soggy by lunchtime.  It was neat to have the enclosed fork spoon. It helps with the environment to  have reusable products rather than throw-aways.

It is also microwave-safe to heat up any main dishes and can go right into the dishwasher.

I received this product with a promotional discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
