THAT'S HOW YOU SLICE IT!

Don't you just envy those watermelon expert carvers? I am constantly amazed at the videos and pictures of carved watermelon on the internet. I think it's great just to get all of the flesh out of the rind, onto a plate and into my tummy. These kitchen tools make it easy.  You insert the slicer upside-down into the flesh and follow the shell to the bottom and back up the other side towards yourself. Then you flip the cutter over, insert on either side of the slice that you just made, squeeze the handle to tighten the grip on the slice and pull. There is your perfect slice. With the slicers you get a melon ball tool that has a carver on the opposite end.  That's how you can get decorative with your melon and be a hit at the next picnic.
