How do you get ac power when all you have is dc power? Well, you can if you have one of these power converters in your car and a cigarette lighter outlet. I'm not an electrician but this makes it easy to convert car battery power into electricity to operated an electric powered appliance. It doesn't have enough power to run a refrigerator but it will power a drill or other small electrical tool. We tried a 4.5 volt drill but that was too large of a draw and the unit powered off with the built-in fault. The two outlets are grounded and there are two USB ports on the left side with the power switch on the right side. We had to have our car running in order to get power to the rear lighter plug in.
