Morning Has Broken

Such a beautiful Sunday! Even though it's pourin' rain, the day is beautiful.

I took pictures of a vine I started this summer. I planted it around my gazebo so that it would grow up the spindles. This week the first blooms appeared.

It's a morning glory type vine but it blooms all day. I loved the color.

We went to the local fair on Friday and passed a home that had masses of black-eyed susans planted around it. I love look of massed flowers. Such simplicity and fullness is so beautiful.

I'd like to plant that way next year. I'll need to write it down, though, so I don't forget.

How anyone could not see the hand of God within the beauty of creation is beyond me. Big Bang Theory, my eye! Nothing as beautiful as earth could be a chance happening. Get real!

Hi Debra,

Glad you had a good weekend. Like you, I can't see how people can look at nature and not know that God exists. If everything else in life doesn't seem to shout his praise and existence and life feels pretty crappy, I can guarentee that if I see the sunset, a bird on the wing or a flower, I can believe in HIm.

Debra, we have flowering pink vine climbing up and around our porch. It shetlers us from the hot evening sun in the summer. When it flowers this summer, down here, I shall think of you in your winter!!!

Thanks, girls! God's beauty is very evident.

My vine will end when the frost comes, but the flowers are great.
