MAKE SENSE OF YOUR LINEAGE!

My mom had started our family tree many years ago. I remember her, before computers, going from the library to the LDS churches and traveling all over to glean any information out there concerning our lineage on her mother's side of the family.  She worked very hard and had papers galore. Then she had to figure out how to put in all on paper so that she could make sense of her research.  The Family Tree Software helps to do just that...make sense of your research.  It can be a bit confusing when you first start but as I entered information, it would show up where it should be. I wish I had had more information about most of my family and it's sad to see that there is information that is probably lost, such as, baptisms and such. All of your work in the software can be printed out so that you can have a hard copy to work from, also.

To search the internet, you need to export your files or get a free account at FamilySearch.Org where you can import everything from Family Tree. I can see that I need to take time to get all of my family history in place, then plug it in to Family Tree and go from there. It will be an exciting journey, for I know I will find out more about my family and maybe a few surprises, too, and keep this information for my son, daughter and grandchildren. It's sad to see your heritage lost.
